What we collect, and what we do with it

Short version: this site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. It counts page views and clicks without identifying you. The only personal data it collects is what you type in when you book a call or leave an email, and we use it to answer you.

Who we are

Unrote is an engineering company based in Barcelona, Spain, and Belgrade, Serbia. We are the controller of the data described on this page. You can reach us at contact@unrote.ai.

What we collect when you book a call

The booking form on this site asks for:

  • your name and email address;
  • your company (optional);
  • a short note about what takes your team's time (optional);
  • the slot you picked and the timezone your browser reported, so we show the time correctly.

Our server also records the IP address a booking came from. We use it only to limit abuse of the form (a cap on bookings per network per hour) and to spot spam. The form has a hidden field that real visitors never fill in; a submission with that field filled is discarded.

Usage counters. We count page views and clicks on this site with no cookies and no identifiers that persist beyond the browser tab. We store the event name, the page, the referring site, a per-tab random id and a daily hashed form of the network address that cannot be turned back into it.

Why we use it

To hold the call you booked: to put it in our calendar, send you the invite, and prepare for the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share or sell your details. If we later work together, what you told us becomes part of that engagement under its own agreement.

Legal basis under the GDPR: our legitimate interest in answering a request you made (Art. 6(1)(f)), and, where the call leads to an agreement, the steps taken before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Where it is stored

Bookings are stored on our own server in the European Union, hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Access is limited to the two founders.

To send you the calendar invite we create an event in Google Calendar with your name and email as the attendee. Google processes that data under its own terms; the invite and the meeting link come from there. If you prefer not to receive a Google invite, write to us and we will confirm the call by plain email instead.

Everything this site loads (pages, styles, typefaces) comes from our own server. No request goes to a third party when a page opens. We set no cookies of our own, and the usage counters described above are the only measurement on the site; they run on our own server and honour the "Do Not Track" setting of your browser.

Emails you send to contact@unrote.ai are stored in our mailbox for as long as the conversation is useful to both sides.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for 12 months after the call, then deleted. IP addresses tied to a booking are deleted after 30 days. If you cancel before the call, we delete the record on request right away.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or hand it over in a portable format. You can also object to our use of it. Write to contact@unrote.ai and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU and believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Exercise a right in one click

Pick what you want. We prepare the email; you send it from your own address so we can match it to our records.

Subject: GDPR request: access to my data

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the change is described here. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
